Pastor Dewalt Honored through Bike for Hunger

Members of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Fleetwood, biked, walked and ran (in the rain) at the 2003 Bike Hike for Hunger to honor Visitation Pastor Marvin Dewalt on the 50th anniversary of his ordination. The members designated all of the funds received — a total of $2,640 — for World Hunger in Pastor Dewalt’s name. Pastor Dewalt, 76, ran two miles himself at the event.

Thrivent Financial provided matching funds, making the grand total raised by St. Paul members $3,400.
